Synopsis:
Duke meets shrew. Taming doesn’t happen.

Neville Perceval, the bankrupt Duke of Anglesey, has been burdened since youth with more responsibility than one man should handle. He has finally accepted that he needs to marry a wealthy, gracious lady who will ease his burdens and smooth his political path.

Fiona MacDermot, the rebellious, untamed cousin of an Irish earl, has the freedom and independence Neville has never known. Like the duke, she needs cash to help starving villagers and orphans. Unfortunately, she’d rather earn a living than have anything to do with useless men, and the politicians she knows all belong at the wrong end of a rope.

But when the duke is nearly beaten to death, and Fiona’s looms are lost to a murdering thief, their lives are entangled in ways that threaten their futures. Lust shouldn’t factor into their destinies, but it does, and now they have to find their dreams together, or die trying.

My Thoughts:
This is about a Romance is a different light. It about a woman. It somewhat an adventure then a romance. There a lot going on in the book. There some drama and some really action  though out the book. It a book in a series and this this the first one i read.

Born Again Amish
Sometimes hope is lost and your faith is shaken. Sometimes it seems like the world is crashing down around you. Sometimes you just lose your way. But just when you need it the most, you're reminded of the healing power of the Lord. That Jesus is with you every step of the way. It's then that you're born again.
Enter a modern Adam and Eve that find Eden to be fraught with more perils than just apples and snakes. But amidst foreclosure, wilting gardens, and rib problems, they discover that faith conquers all.

My Thoughts:
This book collection is great and it somewhat runs the story together. They somewhat go from one family to another in-twine with the previous story. That is great for it makes some since. I really enjoyed the first three stories in this collection.

Each story is a little different from the next but some has some of the same things in them. Will they make the right decision for them or not.

Review: The Winnowing Season

Book Title: The Winnowing Season
Author: Cindy Woodsmall
Publisher: WaterBrook Press

Genre: Christian Fiction, Amish, Amish Fiction, Series, Amish Vines and Orchards
Series: Amish Vines and Orchards #2
Book Source: Paperback, Got from LibraryThing

Synopsis:
On the eve of their departure to begin a new Old Order Amish community outside of Unity, Maine, Rhoda Byler is shocked to discover that choices made by her business partner and friend, Samuel King, have placed her and her unusual gifts directly into the path of her district’s bishop and preachers. She is furious with Samuel and is fearful that the Kings will be influenced by the way her leaders see her, and not what they know to be true—that Rhoda’s intuition is a gift from God.

Jacob King won’t be swayed by community speculation. He loves Rhoda, believes in her, and wants to build a future with her in Maine. But when the ghosts of his past come calling and require him to fulfill a great debt, can he shake their hold before it destroys what he has with Rhoda? Samuel has a secret of his own—one he’ll go to great lengths to keep hidden, even if it means alienating those closest to him. Throwing himself into rehabilitating the once-abandoned orchard, Samuel turns to a surprising new ally.

Book 2 of the Amish Vines and Orchards series asks: can the three faithfully follow God’s leading and build a new home and orchard in Maine? Or will this new beginning lead to more ruin and heartbreak?

My Thoughts:
I loved this book even more. It tell you more about Ronda Bayler. I love the fact that it tell us about her and she learn a lesson as well about a few things and what gods wants. Though does she know that she may be in love with some else but thinks it Jacob. We will have to see about that in the next book.

This book also goes in to depth about  Jacob past as well. I do not know want to give way anything. I strongly you read this book if you have read "A Season for Tending". If you have not you can read this on first and then the that one. But that up to you.

In this book, you learn more about Ronda and her family a bit and also about Jacob and Samuel. There some fun things that happen and what they were learning about how to start a settlement in Maine. Do they learn about Friendship as well.

A Bliss Harbor Novella

But the return of her former high school crush jolts her out of her routine, and she realizes she’s never going to get what she wants out of life if she doesn’t reach out and take it (before she trips over it). Her two best friends come up with a plan to help Frannie catch a man’s attention, but soon it’s clear that the men of Bliss Harbor—and any breakable items—had better watch out.

My Thoughts:
This really a short. I really do know know if I really liked it. For I did not understand what it really was about. I know it some Romance story but it did not really feel that way.  I am not saying any bad about the author who wrote it. I am planing on this a 4 stars for I really do know know really if it derserves that for I do not get the title of the book.
