Description: It wasn’t easy to move back to the Old Order Mennonite community from which quiet, responsible Suzanne Zimmerman was shamefully sent away as a pregnant teen. Returning twenty years later to take care of her mother, Suzanne and Alexa—the daughter she raised as her own—have spent months rebuilding relationships with her family.

Now with the upcoming wedding of their biological daughter, Suzanne and Paul find themselves drawn to one another once again—but with new challenges to face. They have been single parents with painful pasts. Can Paul and Suzanne find the strength to rebuild the loving relationship that was torn apart by their teen pregnancy so long ago?

Suzanne must also let go of Alexa as she heads back to Indianapolis to visit friends--and as her chance to find her birth parents. Leaving the bed-and-breakfast in Suzanne’s apprehensive hands, Alexa embarks on a journey that will certainly change her life completely. Can mother and daughter trust God to restore all things in His timing?

Kim Sawyer is one talented author. If you have not read one of her books you should. Her series "The Zimmerman Restoration" has a wonderful ending. You can check out my reviews to "When Mercy Rains" and "When Grace Sings".

Well, "When Love Returns" starts out a little tension with Suzanne and Alexa. They are celebrating Christmas with all the family. Alexa wants to find her birth mother. When Alexa tells her mom Suzanne. Suzanne is a little unsure and startled by her daughter. Suzanne learns that she will be with Anna Grace for two months. It starts with the unsealing all reasons and the secret that only started it all.

Throughout the book, Suzanne Turns to Paul to talk about Anna Grace and Alexa. What will happen with Suzanne and Paul? I believe it will come full circle. Paul starts wanting to talk to Suzanne and talk about his son Danny. Will the members of the fellowship allow Suzanne back in? To find out all these answers and Alexa answers to her questions, you will need to read "When Love Returns'?

Description: If you could have the answer to only one question, what would you ask? Do all questions have answers? Are two minds better than one? Are a billion minds better still? Are science and faith compatible? Does how you think determine what you think? Who would try to stop you from asking your question? To what extremes would they go? THE QUESTION is thriller . . . a fantasy . . . fiction that you may wish, may believe, may know is true.
Buy the book: Amazon

The book gets you wondering about what is beyond the world we live in.  It's based on if you or more than one person can create a unity.  The author does a pretty good job with the events in the book. While I was reading the book. I felt like it was with the main people that were in the book. It seems like a replica of our congress and president a bit.

I do enjoy the plot of this book. It gets you involved making you start wondering along. There are examples of the projects throughout the book. Will terror win out or will the world win out? You will really need to find out by reading this book.

The book also keeps you guessing what the question would be asked. Why was some of the groups able to produce a unity and some did not? Nathan seems to want to find Unity.

Describe your book in 20 words or less.

THE QUESTION is a thought-provoking thriller, inviting the reader’s emotional and cerebral participation.
Where or how did you come up with the idea for your story?

I was taking a walk with my wife, ruminating on a non-literary problem.  During our discussion, I began to think about how her ideas sometimes challenged, sometimes reinforced my thinking.  That conversation caused me to think about how rare moments of solitary genius occur.  Rather, most really, really tough problems are resolved by questioning and building upon the thoughts of others.

How important are names to you in your book(s)? Do you choose the names based on liking the way it sounds or the meaning? Do you use any resources in assisting you to choose the names?

Names are important, perhaps more from my perspective than the reader’s.  I try to select names which connote an aura or an intangible feeling about the character.  The process is unquestionably imprecise.

Which of your characters (in this book) is your favorite and Why?

I like them all . . . but, for very different reasons.  I try to make my characters believable and textured, yet unformed and imperfect enough so that the reader can impute traits and motives.  When I finish a book, I actually miss my characters and the universe that I have created for them.  I suppose that many authors use the same characters in subsequent books because the authors and their readers have developed a familiarity and emotional bond with the characters.  Part of me wants to continue the lives of my characters in a subsequent story . . . and part me of me believes that the characters in THE QUESTION have served their singular purpose.  Perhaps I will allow my readers to help me decide.

What was your favorite part to write and why?

I enjoyed bringing all of the strands of the story to a satisfying ending.  I really wanted my readers to be rewarded for investing their emotional and intellectual effort. From the beginning, I knew where I wanted the THE QUESTION to end.  Getting there . . . weaving all of the story lines into a single, satisfying moment . . . was enormously satisfying for me.

What writing advice do you have for other aspiring authors?

Write.  And, recognize that writing and being a commercially successful author are two different things.  Writing is a creative process, time-consuming, difficult, a low-odds business with no guarantee of applause from anyone other than yourself.  So, if your aspiration is to become rich-and-famous, writing is probably not your easiest or fastest route.  Authors . . . similar to painters, composers, and actors . . .  create because they genuinely enjoy the process of creating.  “Enjoy the process” is the key concept.

Do you read your reviews? Do you respond to them, good or bad? Do you have any advice on how to deal with the bad?

Yes, I read my reviews.  I do not respond to them, although I am guilty of mentally rebutting the negative ones.  That said, I try to learn from my reviews.  After all, I am writing with the intent of providing readers with a certain (defined by me) emotional and cerebral experience.  If readers “get” that experience, I am very gratified and appreciative.  If readers do not “get” it, I wonder if I have failed in some way.  I understand that I cannot please everyone all of the time . . . but, I genuinely prefer readers to understand and enjoy my work.  Some authors write entirely for their own satisfaction.  For me, audience approval is important . . . the ultimate proof of my talent is whether or not readers “get” what I am trying to convey.

Thank you for stopping by Nighttime Reading Center, R. Breuer Stearns. I hope to see you around here. I hope you stop by once in awhile. I was having a decent time reading your book/

Lets Go Back to a time in the 90's (#BehindTheBlogger)

The prompt is one that can be done around the year. This is a year to Lets Go Back to an earlier year. My kinda of a year I can remember is a time you did not have to worry much about.

Let's go back to the year in the 90's. I had a dog that did something that you or any of your pets may not have done or tried to do. I am a dog lover. I got an abandoned dalmatian dog that I named Bingo. Well one holiday, he got up on the kitchen table and ate the whole roast beef. Not one of us seen him do it or see him on the table. I now laugh and funny.

Another time around Christmas, he did something else you would not believe. He ate the nativity set; all of it but Mary, Joseph and Jesus and the stable. When we came home we couldn't believe he ate them all but Mary, Joesph and baby Jesus.

I recall that time a few times. I am a pet lover to heart. I own two cats that go outside and come back in and one lives outdoors now. We have a little dog named Icicle. I will love them all.

Back then, in the 90's we had a dog that loved to run and he did these and I can recall those to time often around this time.
