The five minutes bedtime Treasury is a great book to read to children. Parents can read a story to their children and bond and teach about god to them before bedtime. I know that it got several chapters if you want to look at it.

The stories tell you how god created you and the world. It also talks about how good makes you his more important to him. There are stories there for you to read and it seem to rhyme. Make the children able to understand. They may be poems or not but it a nice way to read them. It one way to show your child or children how god loves them and how important they are in this world.

Oliver and Jumpy, Stories 16-18 by Werner Stejskal

Book Title: Oliver and Jumpy, Stories 16-18
Author: Werner Stejskal
Genres: Children, Educational, Animals,
Series: Oliver and Jumpy
Publisher: Werner Stejskal
Publish Date: 2014-10-28 (50 Pages, e-book)
Disclaimer: I was contacted by the author herself and was asked if would like to review her series. My review is my own.
Description: These illustrated cat stories are all about “Oliver and Jumpy”, who are best of friends and experience many adventures together. Oliver is an elegant black tomcat, who is full of himself. As a matter of fact he says: “I love myself!”, quite often. Naughty, isn’t he? But his best friend Jumpy, a kangaroo lady, is aware that he has a soft heart and will always want to help others. The great thing is Jumpy’s pouch, which Oliver loves to ride in! He calls her his kangaroo taxi! These little bedtime stories with their lovely illustrations are great for small kids. A parent can read the text and tell the child in his own words. These animal stories have sufficient text to keep early readers happy and provide some educational value. Depending on your device, there is pop-up text (at Amazon) or audio available. Several talented illustrators are essential to bring these children's stories to you in quick succession. Love you all! Meow! Check out the Free INTRODUCTION TO THE SERIES to see how beautiful the illustrations are! Story 16: Who am I? - Oliver loses his memory. Story 17: Up the Tree - Oliver explores a tall tree and meets many animals there. Story 18: Moon Crystal – Oliver and Jumpy are flying to the moon.
Oliver and Jumpy are a sweet and lovable characters. You get three stories in one book. Each story involves Oliver and Jumpy. Oliver is the black cat, and Jumpy is a kangaroo. I love the fact that they go on adventures. As they go on adventures it involves around some environmental or space or educational.

These are short stories. I can say parents would love these for children, and they can learn things though the book. At the end of each story, it reminds you that the reader understands the story. Werner Stejskal write and let you image. Children get to with them and learn, and they may ask questions. He does a wonderful job of making these good bedtime stories.

The images are done well. You can get the story along the way. You also learn along the way. How important trees are and all of it inhabitants that live in the trees. You also get to know about some animals and what they eat. You learn about the earth from space trip and a bit about the moon.

Born in Vienna, Austria, I am now living in the paradise of Perth, Australia with my wife, two married children and three grandchildren. I worked many years in the printing industry and later for the United Nations in Vienna. My wife had been a pen-friend, whom I visited in Hong Kong and finally got married to. After an eventful life, finally retired, I began to write children's stories, had them illustrated through Odesk, narrated them myself for YouTube and finally published the ebooks on most platforms. I will publish 20 books with three stories each in English, before translating into several other languages. My dream is to see "Oliver and Jumpy" animated as a TV series.

Description: After losing her fiancรฉ in a tragic accident, Veronica Fisher finds solace in the old recipes stored in her mother’s hope chest—and in a special visitor who comes to her bake stand to purchase her old-fashioned raspberry pies.
Veronica Fisher knows how lucky she is to be marrying her best friend. Seth Lapp is kind, hardworking, and handsome—but most importantly, he loves Veronica.
When an accident on the job steals Seth away from her, a heartbroken Veronica is certain she will never love—or be loved—again. Yet when she discovers a batch of forgotten recipes and opens a bake stand to sell her Mammi’s raspberry pies, Veronica picks up a regular customer who gives her heart pause.
Jason Huyard was with Seth when he lost his life—a memory that haunts him still. So when he seeks out the grieving fiancรฉe to convey his condolences, the last thing he expects—or wants—is to fall in love. Nonetheless, Jason soon finds himself visiting Veronica’s bake stand every week . . . and it’s for more than the raspberry pies.
Now, as Veronica’s heart thaws, Jason can’t bring himself to tell her he was there when Seth died. Can he ever reveal where he was on the day her life derailed? Or will his secret rob them of the second chance at love they both want?
When I go to look for a new series for Amish. I looked for my favorite authors. I do go to others I have not read about that I will expand to enjoy. I know when I see a book written by Amy Clipston. I really enjoy any kind of Amish or Mennonite stories. I love learning about their lifestyles.

Veronica Fisher finds out that her intended died. She was divested and thinks she will not find love again. Well, she decides she'd need to find something to do and when she goes decides to go look in the attic. When she does, she finds something of her grandmothers. This start up her own kind of business.

Are you into Amish lifestyle? Then this would be a good book to read or even try.

Book Reivew: Whispering to Horses

Book Title: Whispering to Horses
Author: Thomas Nye
Genres: Amish
Publisher: CrossLink Publishing
Publish Date: 2015-11-02 (52 pages, Paperback)
ISBN: 9781633570412
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through the BookCrash.com book review program, which requires an honest, though not necessarily positive, review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. There an affiliate link at the bottom where if you click it and buy the book. I get a little commission.
Description: An old fence separates a modern community from their Amish neighbors, until a little boy opens the gate and breaks down barriers between them. A young man inherits property that borders an Amish farm and assumes his neighbors are simple people. He doesn’t like little Eli, or his family, until he actually gets to know them. Matt soon discovers a simple wisdom and maturity in Eli that astounds him. A few twists in the story take Matt to a place he never set out to go. Eli and his little sisters will touch your heart by Whispering to Horses.
Whispering to the Horses could be a bit longer. The author could get quite a few ways with this. It would be great for a series. I would also enjoy learning more about Eli and Matt. This is good introduction of how it important to be Amish in your community. You can even learn from each other as Matt and Eli did. They seem of made a fast friendship.

It was nice to see it from another viewpoint as of Matt a business man. How he starts to understand what the Amish doe and how they go about life. How our world may be more difficult because we make it that way. We should probably take a look at our neighbors and learn from them if they are Amish or not and try and make life simpler is better and making family more important.

Eli show what hard work is and how a nine year old can be more mature than any other nine year old. For he takes on responsibly like a man does for a family. He does not show or act like no other normal nine year old in modern day. As the Amish can learns from us, we really can learn from them and their lifestyle.

Olympia contest winner

Many deserving competitors entered the fray. One became the victor!

Congratulations Jennifer Uhlarik,
2016 Olympia Award Champion.

We took a few moments to get to know Jennifer a little better, and now here's your chance to do the same:

Jennifer Uhlarik discovered the western genre as a pre-teen, when she swiped the only “horse” book she found on her older brother’s bookshelf. A new love was born. Across the next ten years, she devoured Louis L’Amour westerns and fell in love with the genre. In college at the University of Tampa, she began penning her own story of the Old West. Armed with a B.A. in writing, she has won five writing competitions and finaled in two other competitions. In addition to writing, she has held jobs as a private business owner, a schoolteacher, a marketing director, and her favorite—a full-time homemaker. Jennifer is active in American Christian Fiction Writers and lifetime member of the Florida Writers Association. She lives near Tampa, Florida, with her husband, teenaged son, and four fur children.

How did you come up with the idea for this book and what made you want to write this particular story?

While working with a few other authors on some novella collection ideas, I came up with the idea of three adult siblings who reunite after being separated by adoption in their youth. This story and the two that follow it are the result of that idea—three strong siblings devoted to law and justice, each in their own way.

What does winning the Olympia Award mean to you?

It is such an honor! I love the Olympia since the first round is judged by readers. That is probably the truest group of judges one can have. And I know the competition is always stiff in contests, so just to final is quite humbling. To win is indescribable (and I’m an author, so that says a lot. I’m speechless. LOL)

Description: Dinah Jefferies' unforgettable new novel, The Tea Planter's Wife is a haunting, tender portrait of a woman forced to choose between her duty as a wife and her instinct as a mother... Nineteen-year-old Gwendolyn Hooper steps off a steamer in Ceylon full of optimism, eager to join her new husband. But the man who greets her at the tea plantation is not the same one she fell in love with in London. Distant and brooding, Laurence spends long days wrapped up in his work, leaving his young bride to explore the plantation alone. It's a place filled with clues to the past - locked doors, a yellowed wedding dress in a dusty trunk, an overgrown grave hidden in the grounds, far too small for an adult...Gwen soon falls pregnant and her husband is overjoyed, but she has little time to celebrate. In the delivery room the new mother is faced with a terrible choice, one she knows no one in her upper class set will understand - least of all Laurence. Forced to bury a secret at the heart of her marriage, Gwen is more isolated than ever. When the time comes, how will her husband ever understand what she has done?
The Tea Planter's wife is a mysterious sweet, loving story.  It starts out with Gwen coming to Ceylon to be with her husband.

You go allow with Gwen with her struggles and learning curves of being a mother and wife to her twins and what is going on with Ceylon culture.

When one of her children is colored she does not know if it was her husband or someone else's child. She fights with herself when she gives her daughter to a village. That is when she gives birth to her twins. She has a household servant named Naveena.

Gwen had to deal with not only decision to what she made but also her sister in law. She dealt with that and her raising her son. You are lean so much history and culture of Ceylon at that time as well.  You meet  Tamil and Sinhalese worker that were part of Tea Plantation.
