What Bug Am I? A Funny, Educational Story about Backyard Bugs. Bug Book for Kids with Insect Facts.

If your kids are interested in bugs, they’ll definitely buzz with laughs and literacy over this engaging, informative, and science (STEM) book.
This funny bug-story offers interesting and kid-friendly facts about insects’ diverse features and their unique ways of life.

The little spider doesn't initially know who he is. Yet with the ladybug's help, he meets different backyard bugs to understand who he looks like. By merging nonfiction and fiction, the author cleverly soars and scores in this nature book!

DO INSECTS SCARE YOUR CHILDREN?

Fizzle the fear factor associated with bugs with this amazing book. All characters are cute and relatable, without evoking fear or disgust. They’re specifically endowed with human traits and emotions; and at the same time, the structure of their bodies is realistic. The book teaches friendship, benevolence, compassion, empathy, self-care, and cooperation.

It positively shows insects, indicates their role in nature and benefits to humans, and demonstrates how to purge young readers’ fears associated with them.

Besides, each character within the book has its own info-spread with large photos and interesting facts that even adults don't know. At the same time, the book isn’t too scientific and isn’t overloaded with information. Fictional and educational spreads follow each other cohesively and creatively. They’re separated so it's easy to skip educational ones for younger kids.
Discliamer: I received a free copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review. My opinions and thoughts are my own.

What Bug am I? is a well-written book. It uniquely teaches STEM. It combines nonfiction and fiction. It a cute and funny book. You learn about many different bugs while to find out what this new bug is trying to find out what he is.

You get some real facts about different bugs throughout the book. Those you get a funny story about the bug looking for someone like him. It like he just does not know who he is. Children will learn all about the different bugs. This is a neat idea and a clever way to teach children.

The pictures are well done and enjoyable. I was somewhat creep out about the real pictures of some of the bugs. But not creep out where I closed the book, the look of them had me wanting to turn the page. It is really good for all kinds of children that can learn about bugs and other things. If you are what STEM means well I will put the explanation in for you below.

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach.

Parents will want this for their children if you like bugs or some teachable moment about nature. We get to learn about nature and the different bugs we have in our backyard and house. These kinds of books are enjoyable for young readers and school-age children. I love children's books and sometimes learning about the different bugs or learning something new about bugs I knew about them.

Description: Action! Science! Amazing Art! Epic Showdowns! Experience the history of planet earth as seen through the eyes of the coolest sharks of past and present in this thrilling graphic novel adventure!

From the mind of Ted Rechlin, author and illustrator of Jurassic and Dinosaurs Live!comes the thrilling new epoch-spanning adventure Sharks, a life-science graphic novel adventure. Sharks have been cruising our planet's waters for millions of years. They were here long before humanity and even pre-date the dinosaurs. Rechlin weaves a captivating history of strange and ancient shark species while sharing insights into the distant past of life on Earth. The amazing and action-packed art teaches readers of all ages how these legendary ocean dwellers got their start - and how they developed into the sharks we know today. Educational, fascinating, and beautifully produced, this is the perfect book for budding marine biologists, comic fans, and enthusiasts of these ancient apex predators of the deep.

Sharks: A 400 Million Year Journey, is a fascinating book. Ted does wonderfully with the illustrations. I enjoy the pictures. This teaches about us about sharks and the history of them and the planet. This is an educational book and good to have on your children bookshelves.

This is wonderful graphic novel for children. It got a little bit gore in it but it mild. It shows the behavior of sharks. I like the fact that the book teaches about past sharks and present sharks. It also shows how sharks survived over the past 400 million years.

There are facts about sharks throughout the book. We also learn some new names for some sharks. Some are hard to pronounce the name of them. We get to see the adaptations and different kinds and shapes of sharks throughout the years.

The graphics are done well. It good for those that like graphic novels. Young children and little boys are will enjoy this book. If you are in to the history or sharks or like sharks alone. Boys and girls will enjoy learning about sharks along with their parents with this book. It will keep them entertained for sure.

Author and illustrator Ted Rechlin has been drawing pictures and telling stories since he was three years old. While his drawings have gotten much better, his stories haven't really changed much. They're still about superheroes, bears, wolves, sharks, monsters, and lots of dinosaurs. Ted feels very fortunate to live a life where he now gets paid to draw his pictures and tell his stories. He has contributed his work to many museums, zoos, and publishing companies like DC Comics and Dover Publications. With four of his own educational children's books under his belt, Ted is excited about his newest release distributed by Farcountry Press, the epic earth history of Sharks.
