I started this book and am so far in—it's just getting started. I have already met three of the characters, and I can not wait to see what happens to all of them.

It looks like one of the Bailer sisters is after Mr.Bates. But Mr. Bates seems to like and enjoy Miss Fannie. He seems not to be interested in a certain Belier sister. Miss Fannie is quite excited about the baking contest and enters it every year. Will she win it this year? She seems excited once more, given that she wants to advertise it in her area and around the other towns to help bring folks to enter and enjoy the contest.

We get introduced to a few more characters, one of which is Melissa. Iva seems worried and isn't sure if she can tell Fannie her worries, though she comes in to get sewing supplies. What's up with Iva and her family? What was Melissa doing, and was she checking on contestants to enter the baking contest?

We get more interesting, and there are twists and turns. Will Mr. Bates and Frannie solve the missing connections or even the red envelope mystery? There seems to be a bit of romance, or is it friendship between Foster and Fannie? What is really going on that Foster and Fannie can not seem to find all the missing contestants? Where did that all go? Was there foul play, or did they just forget to when the loss?

Will Jeb get his attention from his dad, or will he be ignored? All contestants learn a few lessons along the way. However, they are all different for each one. The authors do an excellent writing job, making this so much fun to read, and you want to turn the pages as you read.

Lauren Carr does is once again. This book Winter Frost is filler of mystery. It will pull you into the story from the first page to last page. I loved it.

As we know Chris, and his family. We also have Helen and her daughter. We running into and meet Chris supposed dead wife Blair. We also have Murphy join forces with Chris Matheson. I love that the author did this. Bring Murphy and Tristan into the mix. They were more of sub characters but almost like the main characters.

The story was really told well. I can say the narrator did wonderful. I hope to see more mix of the other series like having Chris be brought in with his book club into the other series. I was really surprised and happy when I heard Murphy name when he was helping with Chris escape. We have action from the beginning to the end.

If you have not picked up Lauren Carr books you are missing something. Pick any of her books and you will be hooked. I can not wait to read more. So glad to have two more to read or listen to this time around. Mystery lovers and Crime and detective loves would love these books and series.

Description: There’s more to the quaint northern Indiana town of Shipshewana than handcrafted quilts, Amish-made furniture, immaculate farms, and close-knit families. When a dead girl is found floating in a local pond, murder is also afoot. And Reuben Fisher is in jail as the suspect! Reuben refuses to divulge any information, even to clear himself of a crime Deborah is certain he didn’t commit. So, with her English friend, Callie—fellow sleuth and owner of Daisy’s Quilt Shop—Deborah sets out to uncover the truth. But the mystery deepens when an elderly man seeks Callie’s help in finding his long-lost daughter, missing since the days of the 1965 Palm Sunday Tornadoes. An old man who has lost his past. A young man who may lose his future. Once again Deborah and Callie find themselves trying to piece together a crazy quilt of lives and events—one that can bring unexpected touches of God’s grace and resolve the tragedy that has shaken this quiet Amish community.

A perfect Square is about a group of friends. That group of friends seems to bring Mysteries to an English friend that become an owner of Daisy Quilt Shop. When a dead girl is found and an Amish young man is the center of it.

Callie and her friend Deborah need to find out who killed her or what happened to her. Who is Ruben Fisher covering for? Why will he not clear his name? There seem to be more going on than anything when and Old elderly man shows up at Daisy Quilt Shop, claiming to find his long-lost daughter? Will, it seems that this long lost daughter is really a clue to the dead young girl they find in a pond?

Vannetta Chapman does a wonderful job of giving the readers something to hang on to. Will God grace help and mend. There seems to be a family that thinks that their daughter is running and living in the English world? What happens when the parents find out the truth about their daughter? What about the young man that on the run? What happens on Palm Sunday in 1965 with the Tornadoes?

Have you ever heard of a dog playing blackjack? I know that I have not, Lauren Carr has brought us a book with another dog. We meet Chris Matheson and his family in this very entertaining book.

They are a mystery every time we turn the page. I would call this a page-turner with a twist and turns with each time you decide to turn the page.

What book club is Elliott trying to get Chris to join? There mysteries and secrets too from the beginning to the end of the book. Do we have a serial killer on the loose? Who after Chis Matheson and why is the town believe that he killed Sandy Lipson and her baby?

Lauren Carr does not disappoint. If you have not read her other books then I suggest you do. ICE is only book one of her newest series. I look at this Sterling and say he may have Gnarly by entertaining you. Gnarly and Sterling should team up and see what they do together.

Will Chris Matheson and his buddies solve the cold case? There seems to be quite a few twists and turns you will not be able to guess some of the crimes.

There are a long of death and crime through this book but that is cause it is crime fiction and a mystery. I would also suggest that you if you are the fan of both or Mystery and have not read Lauren Carr other books. Then you are missing out. Once you read one you are going to want to read her other books. You can check out my reviews for The Mac Faraday Mysteries, Lovers In Crime Mysteries, The Joshua Thornton Mysteries, Thorny Rose Mysteries.

You can add ICE to the list as well. I can not wait for book two of this series. I can not wait for to pick up another Lauren Carr book soon.

Book Title: Who The Bishop Knows
Author: Vannetta Chapman
Genres: Christian Fiction, Mystery, Thriller, Fiction, Amish Fiction, Romance, Amish Romance, Amish, Cozy Mystery
Series: The Amish Bishop Mysteries #3
Publisher: Harvest House Publishers
Publish Date: 2018-03-06 (352 Pages, Paperback)

Description: What You Don’t See Might Hurt You

Every year, residents of the small Amish community in Monte Vista, Colorado, look forward to the Ski Hi Stampede, the state’s oldest professional rodeo. The rodeo is always good, clean entertainment for the hardworking farmers of the San Luis Valley. But this year, the Stampede turns deadly for one Amish man. Did rodeo fans see an unfortunate accident? Or something more sinister?

Amish bishop Henry Lapp is known far and wide for his uncanny ability to draw and remember the smallest details of anything he’s seen, skills that have served him well in past investigations. He was at the rodeo that day. The problem? He didn’t see Jeremiah Schwartz’s death.

With a murderer on the loose and members of his community being threatened, Henry must act fast. But can he solve a crime he didn’t see? This time around, Henry will have to rely on his keen sense of human character and observation, skills he’s honed in his role as bishop, if he hopes to crack the case.

Who the Bishop Knows is a story of accepting our talents, putting one another first, and trusting that God will care for His children.

Were you wondering if Henry seen another murder? Well what if Henry did not and though the person does not know that. The murderer seem to think he knows more about Jermiamiah murder?

What of his talents, he does not see him or know that he there. Henry does embrace his talent. Will is solved the crime or not? Emma knows Henry did not see what happen and so does the police though they did ask him if his special talent would help.

Do they know that the murderer is living among them? Does Naomi know more than any of the youngsters. The young adults appear brought into this murder. Is it personal or not?

Two girls get kidnapped but why and for what reason? How is Henry and Emma involved? I seem that there a secret going on and that get reveal as well

Vannetta does a wonderful job of doing it and closing out the series. What up with having a bishop that knows and seem to find all the clues. See if he can help the English police to solve the crime.

Review: What the Bishop Saw

Book Title: What the Bishop Saw
Author: Vannetta Chapman
Genres: Amish, Amish Fiction, Mystery, Cozy Mystery, Fiction, Christian Fiction
Series: The Amish Bishop Mysteries Book #1
Publisher: Harvest House Publishers
Publish Date: 2017-05-01 (352 Pages, Paperback)
Disclaimer: I received this book free from the author and publisher for an honest review. (There is an affiliate link if you click on it and buy the book I will get a little commission) There is no pressure to buy unless you want to.
Description: Somewhere in the Embers Lies the Truth

A fire blazes out of control in the San Luis Valley of Colorado, leaving an elderly Amish bachelor dead. Bishop Henry Lapp rushes to the scene, and he learns the fire was no accident. Someone intended to kill Vernon Frey. But who would want to kill Vernon? Well, practically everyone—Amish and Englisch alike.

When the police point the finger at a suspect Henry knows is innocent, the bishop must decide whether or not to use his mysterious, God-given gift—one he's tried desperately to ignore all these years—to try and set the record straight. His close friend and neighbor, Emma, encourages Henry to follow God's leading.

Could the clue to solving the case be locked somewhere deep in his memory? Will Henry find the courage to move forward in faith and put the right person behind bars? Is his friendship with Emma becoming something more?

What the Bishop Saw is a story of extraordinary talents, the bonds of love and friendship, and the unfailing grace of God.

What the Bishops Saw is a really good mystery in itself. You are guessing from the time you open the book and the last page you turn. Who killed Veron Fry? Did someone murder Veron Fry on purpose? Is it Amish and English.

I am still surprised with the ending. The Englisher needs help as she does not get to bottom of the case or any closes. Will the bishop help save an innocent man and catch the culprit? What is Henry talent and is it good or is bad. To find out this you need to read the book.

I am still wondering why this person did what he or she did towards the Amish when they did not do anything to have it happen. Vanetta Chapman gets you hooked and wanting more. You will not want to put this book down once you start to read it. It pages turner for you. Will Henry take a leap a faith and use these talents. Find out by reading What the Bishop Saw. It a compelling story and one I hope to follow more of Henry and this community in Colorado Valley.

Praise for Lauren Carr’s Mysteries:

“Lauren Carr could give Agatha Christie a run for her money!” - Charlene Mabie-Gamble, Literary R&R

“As always, Lauren Carr brings an action-packed story that is almost impossible to put down. Her mystery plots have so many twists and turns that I didn’t know if I was coming or going. And the action just didn’t stop from the very beginning till the very end.” - Melina Mason, Melina’s Book Reviews

Eleven Years Ago—Dixmont State Hospital, Outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

“Hard to believe this was once a state-of-the-art psychiatric hospital,” the young Pennsylvania state trooper said to his partner, an older officer who seemed unimpressed with the long history of the century-old hospital that rested on top of a hill overlooking a major freeway and railroad tracks.
Heavily damaged by fire and decades of neglect, the complex’s main building had once been a historic landmark, a toast to what had been considered cutting-edge psychiat- ric treatment back in the 1800s. More than a century later, the many buildings that made up the facility lay in ruins, decaying, and the grounds were overgrown and covered in trash left by kids, psychics, and  filmmakers.
“Only goes to show you how quickly the state of the art can become out of date,” the older officer grumbled. “Do you have any idea how many crazies died here? How many are buried in that cemetery?”

“Which is why it’s one of the most haunted places in the world.” The young officer uttered a sinister laugh.
“Shut up.”
An unmarked police car rounded  the  curve  in  the  road that weaved up the long hill from the highway down below. Recognizing the woman driving the cruiser, the older trooper muttered something under his  breath.
“What is it?” his partner asked. “Gates.”
“Huh?”

Book Tour: Michelangelo's Ghost

Book Title: Michelangelo's Ghost
Author: Gigi Pandian
Publisher: Henery Press
Publish Date:  2016-10-04 (288 Pages, e-book)
Genres: Mystery, Thriller, Historical Fiction, Crime / Detective, Cozy Mystery, Amateur Sleuth
Series: Jaya Jones Treasure Hunt Mystery Series (#4)
Disclaimer: Irecieved this book from +NetGalley and from +Laura Fabiani for a book tour and honest review
Description: Can treasure-hunting historian Jaya Jones unmask a killer ghost?

A lost work of art linking India to the Italian Renaissance. A killer hiding behind a centuries-old ghost story. And a hidden treasure in Italy’s macabre sculpture garden known as the Park of Monsters…

Filled with the unexpected twists, vivid historical details, and cross-cultural connections Pandian is known for, Michelangelo’s Ghost is the most fast-paced and spellbinding Jaya Jones novel to date.

When Jaya’s old professor dies under eerie circumstances shortly after discovering manuscripts that point to a treasure in Italy’s Park of Monsters, Jaya and her brother pick up the trail. From San Francisco to the heart of Italy, Jaya is haunted by a ghost story inexorably linked to the masterpieces of a long-dead artist and the deeds of a modern-day murderer. Untrustworthy colleagues, disappearing boyfriends, and old enemies—who can Jaya trust when the ghost wails?

Jaya was somehow recruited to find a lost treasure. Her old professor starts it off by trying to get to her and with her research. Something happens that, makes Jaya, has to pick up the research after her professor dies.

The author has you intrigued by wanting to know what Jaya gets an email from her former Professor. Once she gets her hands on the sketchbook or famous artist from Italy. Are there connections with Michelangelo?

You will be so involved you will be wondering what's going on with it. How is a ghost story connected to present day Murder? For me, this book seems to have you guessing along the way.

They're a disappearing boyfriend that comes and goes. What up with that. It seems to grow even more intense with a ghost that keeps appearing and disappearing. It comes to be even more intense, as you, go. I thought it was growing creepier. It, not creepy scary. It just my opinion of how I felt at a point. I loved it. You did not ever know what was going to happen when you go to turn the page.

One grand prize winner will receive:

- Signed copies of the first 3 books in the series
- 6 book-themed recipe cards from the locations where each book is set (Italy, Scotland, India, France, and the US)
