Becoming Bea

Book Title: Becoming Bea
Author: Leslie Gould
Genres: Christian Fiction, Amish Fiction, Romance, Fiction
Series: The Courtships of Lancaster County (#4)
Publisher: Bethany House Publishers
Publish Date: October 21st 2014 (345 Pages, Paperback)
Disclaimer: I received the copy from a giveaway or maybe Goodreads Early Reader. I cannot remember exactly. My review is honsesty and is not stipulated by author or publisher.
Description: Beatrice Zook knows God wants her to learn patience toward others. When assisting a family overwhelmed by triplets proves surprisingly successful, her confidence in dealing with others, both young and old, grows.

One person she’ll never be able to find peace with though is Ben Rupp. They’ve known each other forever, and Ben understands precisely how to antagonize her. What neither she nor Ben will admit is that beneath all their bickering, attraction awaits. When friends decide to try and bring the couple together, will the pair be able to find true love? Or will they damage their relationship beyond repair?

Becoming Bea is about a girl and family. It looks into the relationship of Bea and Ben. They both have trouble communicating with one another. Bea hears Nan has just had triplets from a member of her community.

She wants to help out and so offers. There is matchmaking going on. Will Bea lean to communicate or will she not. She believes she made to be a spinner or old maid as the Amish like to call it.

The author does a decent job. Thought the plot of the story make me wonder what it really about. We do know that Molly is married. Bea does not want to move and be with her older sister and her husband.

Like I stated the author is good. It just do not know what the main plot of the story is about other than Ben and Bea have problems with communications. You figure that out early enough. Now if the author plot is to see the couple can figure it out and finally get together. Maybe what it was about. But to me it was unclear exactly what the plot was about.

The author does wonderfully for Minding Molly and Courting Cate and their plots. It not so confusing as Becoming Bea. Maybe it to see how Bea grows from a girl to a young woman.

You have the option to read it and decide yourselves. I believe this is an okay book. My only problem with the story and book is the plot nothing more.

Description: Molly Zook’s always liked being in control, so she’s struggling with her mother’s wish that, to save the family farm, she marry Mervin Mosier. Especially after Molly meets Leon Fisher. He’s from Montana but is now training horses at a nearby ranch. He is tall and muscular and confident–Molly has never met anyone like him and she’s sure he feels the same about her.
Determined to let nothing get between them, Molly tries to coax Mervin into falling back in love with Molly’s best friend, Hannah. A weekend camping trip in the Poconos could be just the place . . . but things quickly go awry, and it seems Leon and Hannah might be falling for each other instead! Will Molly keep struggling to control everyone and everything around her? Or will she learn to let God handle the twists and turns of her life?

My Thoughts:  Mary wonders if their a way to save her family farm. Molly also struggles with controlling everyone and making them happy. Her mother wants her to fall in love with Mervin and to save  the farm. Mary does not love him in that way. He like a big brother to her.  She upset that her father had died of a heart attack. Series: Courtships of Lancaster County
Publisher: Bethany House
Pub Date: November 1, 2012 (252 Pages, Paperback)
Book Source: Won Though LibraryThing Early Reviewer

Synopsis:
When Amish farmer Pete Treger moves to Paradise Township, Pennsylvania, seeking a better life, he meets sisters Cate and Betsy Miller. Both are beautiful, but older sister Cate is known more for her sharp tongue and fiery temper than her striking appearance. Betsy, on the other hand, is sweet and flirty--and seems to have attracted most of the bachelors in Lancaster County
However, the sisters' wealthy father has made one hard and fast rule: elder sister must marry first, before the younger can even start courting. Unfortunately for poor Betsy, and for the men who want to court her, her older sister, Cate, doesn't have any suitors--until Pete comes to town, that is.
Though he finds both sisters attractive, something about Cate's feisty demeanor appeals to him. Soon the other bachelors in the district convince Pete to court Cate. She hardly seems receptive to his overtures, though. Instead, she's immediately suspicious of his interest.

My Thoughts:
Cate is quite different. She love to read and is reading something. Her father make a edit that the oldest must do everything before the youngest can even court. Both girls do not like this rule at all. Cate want nothing to do with this rule though their no way out of it.

Betsy has suitors though out and quite attractive. Pete Treager comes to Lancaster County for a job. While he there, Marvin and Martin in all trying to get Pete to court Cate. Cate though has her suspicious and it get in her way a bit. She jump to collusion and when she finds out about her little sister Betsy problem. I am not going to tell you for I do not want to spoil the ending the surprises that come though out.

And once she has made peace with those around her, she has an important decision to make: Whose Amish bride will she become?Ezra's or Luke?s?

My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this book and received though net gallery. I am review. I truly enjoyed reading this. I could connect though the Characters of this book. The book starts out with Ella reviving a book from her grandmother. The book is from her Great Grandmother Sarah. There a mystery or code that Ella is asked to break in her great grandmothers book.

Her mother and grandmother and the Grandys want their relationship with Ella and Ezra to change. They Ezra is to go to a farm but Ella decides to go with him. She get a job and a place to live. She forms a friendship with an Amish farmhand named Luke while in Indiana.

There a tragically back at home, with her brother Zed. She goes back home and has to face her past from what she was running way from. I really like this book. The mystery is pulled though out the whole book. It come to lite and helps another family in the process. The mystery is revealed at the end of the book.

So does Ella choose Luke or Ezra to Marry? What is the Mystery in the book that Ella must break the code? To find out these answers I suggest you read the book. I would Recommend it too.
