I have found a book about neglect. It's about a dog that gets mistreated. This book talks about a topic that is hard to bring up. This book explains well to children. Yes, this is about a dog, but it could be for children.

This book was a bit heartbroken at first. Though it does help with making children and adults understand about being mistreated. Please, if you see neglect, please help, whether it's children or dogs. This book is about a rescue dog.

He tells his story of being mistreated and how he recovered. Here is an excellent book to have on your bookshelves, and it is unique. What will happen to Punk? Will he ever learn to trust again? If you have a rescue dog, please let them know you love them but let them know. Let them come to you when they are ready.

Children will learn about some life lessons and rescue dogs. They will learn about how to take care and be in love and be patient. We all need to know this same lesson sometime. We remember we do learn how to take care of and love a rescue dog. This book is suitable for children to know that children and dogs can be loved, healed, and overcome neglect and mistreatment. There are some resources in the back of this book for help. Great for classrooms and bookshelves.

What sweet loving story about a grandchild and her grandma; This shows how love can be given unconventionally and shows what happens to such elderly grandparents with Dementia. Grandparents may forget things or their loved ones.

This book explains it in a way to children so they can understand. Children may not understand or feel confused as to why their grandma or grandpa is looking for things or being forgetful. Dementia is something hard to tell your child or children. This book seems to help because it attacks the brain and will not let their grandparents remember their loved ones or things though they want to.

We see this through the eyes of a little girl in this book. Children can change it for them if they need to think through this. Parents, this book is a beautiful addition to your child's bookshelf or your family collection of books, especially if you have a family member that deals with this.

My grandma on my dad's side either has Dementia or Alzheimer's; I do not know. She had a hard time remembering my name growing up or when I was calling her. I do not know if she ever told my grandfather the message I told her to say to her. I think she has this disease called "Dementia," but not one hundred percent sure. I know she remembers me when I was little, but that about all. She calls most of my family members "You" when she is referring to you. I have no idea for sure. The only name she ever used when she was talking or referring to someone was John. That name is shared and used by my Uncle and my grandfather and cousin.

This book remains done well; I enjoyed the idea and concept of the book. I rate it 4.5 stars (Moons). It was not that deep for me. Though then, It could be me, and that is all. It does teach children about a mental health illness that continues not talked about much. I have to say that sometimes it's hard to do.

Evita's passion is assisting the elderly, especially those living with dementia. Her mission is to help people age in the manner they envision for themselves and not through the lens of others. She works to provide data and resources to assist elders in effectively aging-in-place and equips their families and friends to support their loved ones amidst uncertainty. Some of those decisions result in despair, while others result in healing. The key to enabling elders to live life to its fullest is to help them find their voices and exercise their right to choose.

Evita collaborates with family and friends to ensure that her mother, who lives with dementia, and her father, recently diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment, maintain their voices and make well-informed choices as their disease progresses.

My Thoughts:
I asked the author to review is book. For I do enjoy Children books even at my age. I will tell you that it a quick read and a great read. I understood the concept of it and it almost had my eyes in tears. I said almost at the end of the book. It is heartfelt. I do really believe this.

The story is a great a wonderful for children and they would understand it quite well. I am glad that the author got though her grief and talked about it or at least talked to her father or her brother. I for the pictures   in the book. This I could see what she was trying to refer to in the pictures though they were not perfect but I did understand the point and the story itself. This as nothing to do with the author writing the book or the illustrator who did the pictures.

My mom had picked up the book before I did. She picked it up sometime before we went on vacation for a weekend. I had received it my mail and opened it. I was currently reading another book at the time. It was sitting on the table in the living. My mom picked it up and read it. She said that it was good. The pictures were not great to her, though I think she understood the book though. This is what she told me when I asked  How was the book. I could recommend it to Children and Parents and though working with Children.

My Thoughts on this Book:

I truly fell that his it a good read. You learn about Lydia youngest sister Ruthie and Lydia struggles. You may to start crying while reading this book. I now I did. I felt like i was a part of the story myself. We also meet the  Kauffman's Family.

We meet some of the Kauffman Family member from the Kauffman's Amish Bakery series. This story is about the Elizabeth and Eli granddaughter Lydia Bontrager.

Lydia starts out with being stressed out about her little sister illness. She makes several mistakes and she starts to understand a bit. Her parents are stressed out as well about their youngest daughter and what she might have.

Lydia works two jobs. One is at her grandmothers bakery, the other is as teacher assistant to the Amish Primary School in her district. You will have to read to find out what happens to her and if she get her dream and what job she chooses for full time. I do recommend this book all readers young and old. This book can stand along a bit. Though if you want to get to know the rest of the Kauffman's Family I suggest that you read the "Kauffman's Amish Bakery" series.
