Synopsis:
Like the winter, grief has a season. Life returns with the spring.

A young architect at a prestigious Chicago firm, Bethany Quinn has built the life she dreamed of during her teen years in a trailer park. An unexpected interruption from her estranged mother reveals that tragedy has struck in her hometown and a reluctant Bethany is called back to rural Iowa.

Handsome farmhand Evan Price has taken care of the Quinn farm for years. When Bethany is left the land, Evan must fight her decisions to realize his dreams. But even as he disagrees with Bethany’s vision, Evan feels drawn to her and the pain she keeps so carefully locked away.

For Bethany, making peace with her past and the God of her childhood doesn't seem like the path to freedom. Is letting go the only way to new life, love and a peace that she’s not even sure exists?

My Thoughts:
I had tear running down my cheeks a bit. The story was heartfelt throughout the whole book. It was very good and I can not wait for the second book that come out in 2013 called "Wishing on Willows."

This book is about letting go, facing your past, trusting god. It really is good and it captures all them though out book and struggles of each one. The book is mainly about Bethany. It also about Robin and Evan a bit. Things happen and you need to learn to trust and let go and face the past as it comes.

You still need to find your faith though this and learn to trust God with your struggles.

Synopsis:
Jolie McKibben figured that when a woman has to choose between death and marriage to a total stranger, she must be in a desperate predicament. And Jolie, standing under the hot sun with a noose around her neck, surely was. But something -- the defiant lift of her chin or her frightened blue-green eyes -- had caught the attention of Daniel Beckham. He stopped the hanging by invoking the town's wedding ordinance and married the pretty "outlaw" on the spot.So Jolie's hide was saved...only her pride was wounded! Daniel didn't believe she was innocent, and he barely spoke on the drive out to his farm. Worse still, two desperados were on her trail, and she didn't dare confide her troubles to her new husband. Yet under the star-splashed Western sky, Jolie trembled whenever this rugged giant of a man came near. Now she hungered for his kisses, dreamed of his touch, and knew she would do anything a woman could to win his love -- to be, with her body and her soul, truly Daniel's bride.
My Thoughts:
Jolie is in a little trouble. She going to die if she doe not marry a man. Though the town people say she a part of the gang that stole money is she part of it or not. She must prove them that she did not have anything to do with the robbery.

Daniel comes along and saves her by saying he will marry her. He save her from being hung, Though he does he has his own troubles and struggles with losing his wife and unborn child. He also loss a daughter (I think) though not complete sure. It been a while since i read it.

Things start happening and getting interesting throughout the story. Can they work though it or do they break the marriage. Do they find the money that been stolen? Read it to find out.

As rumors mount that Rhoda’s “gift” is a detriment to the community, she chooses isolation, spending her time in her fruit garden and on her thriving canning business.

Miles away in Harvest Mills, Samuel King struggles to keep his family’s apple orchard profitable. As the eldest son, Samuel farms with his brothers, the irrepressible Jacob and brash Eli, while his longtime girlfriend Catherine remains hopeful that Samuel will marry her when he feels financially stable.

Rhoda’s expertise in canning could be the answer, but she struggles with guilt over the tragic death of her sister and doesn’t trust herself outside her garden walls. As the lines between business, love, and family begin to blur, can Rhoda finally open up to a new life? And what effect will this odd, amazing woman have on the entire King family?

Sumuel starts having trouble with the apple orchard. Though Samuel is having some trouble he starts something with Ronda as partner with King's Orchard.

Things go from one thing to another. Is Ronda in love with Jakob or is god trying to get Samuel and Ronda together in another place. Where they will be working together ten hours away. To determine this it hard to say. For me I think God wants Samuel and Ronda together but the only way I will now is for the second book. Though there surprises and twist in this book.

Jordan plans for his time on the Michigan farm to be short. Before his mother passed away, he promised her he'd give her Amish roots a chance. Upon her death, uncertain about what else to do, he came to stay with his Uncle Isaac in Hope Falls. He's curious why his mother left the community she obviously loved. But it doesn't take Jordan long to conclude that the strict lifestyle and the three hour church services are not for him.

But there isn't just human interaction at play. Nathaniel, an angel of God, sees the potential in Jordan and Rachel's hearts from heaven's perspective. His goal is to shepherd them toward the path of healing and love.

When tragedy strikes, then strikes again, this angelic being is sent to guide them toward the healing and abundant life promised in God's Word - if only they will listen.

My Thoughts:
This was fun to read and see that an angel speaks in this book. It there to help two people. It was sweet to see the two angels battle in the book. The funny things they do to get the two people to listen. I really like it with Jordan that he get different things.

It was kinda different for Rachel. Though Rachel need to understand what happened to her brother and learn about forgiving. You would be surprise with all the things that happen and what comes of it.

Synopsis:
In the aftermath of the Civil War, Josephine Weatherly and her mother, Eugenia, struggle to pick up the pieces of their lives when they return to their Virginia plantation. But the bitter realities of life after the war cannot be denied: their home and land are but shells of their previous grandeur; death has claimed her father and brother; and her remaining brother, Daniel, has returned home bitter and broken. The privileged childhood Josephine enjoyed now seems like a long-ago dream. And the God who failed to answer any of her prayers during the war is lost to her as well.

Josephine soon realizes that life is now a matter of daily survival--and recognizes that Lizzie, as one of the few remaining servants, is the one she must rely on to teach her all she needs to know. Josephine's mother, too, vows to rebuild White Oak... but a bitter hatred fuels her.

With skill and emotion, Lynn Austin brings to life the difficult years of the Reconstruction era by interweaving the stories of three women--daughter, mother, and freed slave--in a riveting tale.

My Thoughts:
This book I loved. I was so into the book. It surely talks about what life was like once the Civil War ended. The North won. It tell about the south trying to get life back to normal and how they wanted the way it was. This book show you of how some slaves were treated during this time.

It tell a story about slave were once they were treated. There another story though as well but it I do not want to give way much. If you enjoy Historical fiction or Histoy of America this is really a good book to read. If you do not read Historical Fiction, I still recommend it you for it something to read and different then your your normal genre. You choose for yourself.

He can hardly believe she is what she claims?a Plain and simple woman. Nor can he believe how quickly he loses his heart to her. Can Colin convince her to forget Jesse and give him a chance?

My Thoughts:
This book is the second in the series called "Amish of Apple Grove." Really enjoyed this book for it quiet funny to see Rebecca get in a mess of things when she arrives in Lawrence, Kansas. She starts out day dreaming about her love for Jesse who she met four years earlier on a cattle trail drive. She hear of his aware about and heads for it.

Sheriff Maddox learns what it takes to keep peace in the small town. He just hoping things are peaceful during this time before the new sheriff arrives to take over. But things start to get quite interesting the mintue Rebecca arrives in Lawrence Kansas. Colin see her and judges she there for a protest of the night she arrived.

There are a few thing that are surprises throughout the book and believe me it a book to read. I do not want to giveaway any of the secrets of what happens to Rebecca  or Colin for that matter. I do not want to tell you want happens to a few of the folks in the town. To find out it book to pick up. Another book to pick up is called "The Heart Frontier."
