Buckley the Highland Cow and Ralphy the Goat: A True Story about Kindness, Friendship, and Being Yourself is an adorable book; It was charming and enjoyable. It will help children learn about being kind to others, learning about friendship, and being about yourself. Children will need to know they can be themselves and still be kind and make friends.

This book does show that being different is okay. Family can come in all different sizes and shapes. The story is excellent for all children to learn. Bullying is not a good idea. Children can learn by reading this book to stand up for themselves or their friends.

We meet Buckley and see how he deals with losing his mama. We see how he adapts to the farm where he remains living. Things do not seem to change much for him until a new member joins the farm and becomes a family.

When we meet Ralphy; He seems to be a calming presence for Buckley. It also makes Buckley curious and starts to make some changes. Will they be friends forever? The photographs are lovely. I love the authentic look and feel of the images.

This book deals with two farm animals. This book is suitable for children that love animals as it focuses on farm animals. Though it is not just for fans of animals and farms, it is for all kinds of children.

Are you a Kim Vogel Sawyer fan? Or a historical fiction fan? Then you will enjoy Kim's newest book to be coming out soon. It is delightful. Kim writes wonderfully, and this book captured my attendance for the entire book.

I was wondering if Sloane would catch up to Fanny. This book pulls you through Fanny's journey, and she will get her freedom. In the process, Sloan will find his freedom as well. There are three main characters throughout this book. We get to see their point of view throughout the book; Most of them are Fanny's point of view. We do see Walters and Sloane's point of view throughout the book as well.

This book talks about slaves. What will happen when Fanny meets Enoch and his family? Will she help them to freedom, and she gets help with being hidden with them. What will Fanny do? Will Sloane learn about keeping his word and about God?

Will Sloan find his riverboat singer? Does he seem to think he is on a goose chase trying to find a singer that seems to sing her way to freedom? The plot thickens, and there will be freedom for Fanny. Will she get what she has been looking for in life. Fanny agreed to help care and watch over Walter's little girl Annlesse. What will happen when Walter's new wife comes?

Are you looking for a book about different Asian cultures and other traditions? I found one that talks about their Moon Festival. It is good to learn about different cultures and not change that culture because we do not like it. We should try and understand it.

Our Moon Festival” by Yobe Qui is a beautiful picture book about three different families and how they celebrate the Moon and their traditions. The first one is about a Chinese festival and talks about Singapore. The second story talks about the Vietnamese and their lovely traditions. The last story is about the Japanese and how they celebrate the holiday with their traditions.

This book shows and illustrates the holiday; it talks about what is similar and how they are different. The illustrations in the book are displayed well and beautifully. The images are bright and colorful. Great for children and parents to learn about Asian communities and a bit of Asian culture.

Children will want to learn more about these three Asian countries, Japan, Singapore, Chinese, and the culture. Children want to learn about the Moon Festivals. I think they are different but similar. I enjoyed learning about other holidays and the traditions of different cultures. I enjoy learning about the Our Moon Festival.

Colton's Time Machine: Jefferson, Adams, Franklin

As Colton was going to sit down, he looked at the map on the wall. "That's it! I'm going to visit Jefferson, Franklin, and Adams from our first visit, when we sat in on the making of the 'Declaration of Independence.'" He sat down in the chair, picked up the history book, and flipped through the pages until he found 'Thomas Jefferson. He read his biography then said, "We have a lot in common, he's an inventor like me." Then, he turned some more pages until he found John Adams. "Lets see: Adams was a farmer, lawyer and he spent several years in France. I bet he has some freat stories to tell us." Then,he turned the page to Benjamin Franklin, who was another inventory and few a kite in an electrical storm. Colton got up and went over to the map on the wall. he traded the green pins for red ones and put green ones on Charlottesville, Virginia, for Thomas Jefferson, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for John Adams, and another on Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for Benjamin Franklin. Then he left the tree house and went into his house for the night.

I know many have learned their ABCs in different ways. Children learn in different ways. Children need to understand the ABCs at some point. A book I came about is "The World Famous ABC Book of Rhyme" by Roger Carlson; this book will help children of different ages learn their ABCs in a fun and enjoyable way.

I happen to be told by my mom; she used to teach me to use animals to learn my ABCs growing up. This book can help children learn to say their words with pictures. They also will learn their ABCs. This book is suitable for toddlers and young readers. Children that are in preschool through grade five. Will I learn something from ABCs or some basic reading skills or words?

The way this book transpires is charming. The pictures are bright and colorful. Parents will enjoy this book as it is excellent for any one child to learn. The rhyming helps to make it fun and different. I do not know if parents or children or even teachers have thought that ABCs could be a poem to teach them.

Can your children find other words to practice while reading this book? They can learn and practice some new words or old ones. Parents will want this book on their child or children's bookshelves or in their homes. The teacher may wish to do it for their classrooms as well. It is a great resource.

Have you wanted your child or children to learn about the seasons? Most if not all children know there are four seasons in a year. I just read another book that deals with the season we call "Fall" called "Autumn." The book's name is "A Celebration of Autumn" by Roger Carlson.

The book talks about the month changing and temperatures drop. "A Celebration of Autumn" is the third book in the series. What a fun way for this book to start. The first paragraph in this book is below:

When August fades and turn to September,
and you start to feel a nip in the air;
it can only mean one thing:
Autumn is nearly there!

Children will learn about the season. They will also learn to rhyme as well. Kids will want their older siblings or parents to read this book repeatedly if it's not a favorite already. What fun activities can children come up with that goes on during this season. The illustrations are colorful and bright. The colors remain shown and represented nicely throughout the book.

I know they mention two autumn holidays that we celebrate during this time. Can you name them? We have fun and games for one and the other we get together as a family to have a meal. Autumn is when children are getting ready to go to school or started school for the year. I am surprised the school does not get a mention in the book. It deals with the different seasonal changes and temperatures that we deal with this season.

I am sure some children will not remember that there was a pandemic? Well, this book "Giving Hope: A Child's Journey Through a Pandemic" is a good one for children of all ages. Young children will be wondering why things have changed and why they can not see their friends and family.

This book does that through the eyes of a child or children. I am not quite sure; This is where the half star (moon) comes in, in my rating of four and a half stars (moons). Otherwise, this book does explain all about the emotions they will go through, from being worried to many others.

These diary entries are well done; Talking about what is going on with children and what is happening around them. Each one occurs with an emotion. This book is good to have around to explain the feelings going on during a stay-at-home order or lockdown, as many have called it.

This book can teach children who are all essential or heroes during this difficult time. This book is not just for a pandemic situation. I could be used to guide during other struggling or difficult times ahead.

The pictures are very bright and vivid. They do tell the emotion or emotions the child is feeling during that diary entry. The drawings are lovely throughout the book. There are some ideas that children can do to help with the changes and maybe even get in though with family during a hard time. Can your child or children come up with something you could do to bring hope? Maybe even come up with some ideas to do around your neighbor and show them or tell you to care while trying to stay safe.

There is a new book out for the holiday season. I know children are excited for them to come. This latest book, "Rambee Boo & and the Christmas Sock," has just been released. What a lovely story and heartfelt to get into the Christmas spirit.

I thought this was adorable. The first page has something special. What is Rock reading? Can you spot it? Maybe your child can. This book counts down to Christmas and gets the house ready. Will Rock and the family find Rambee Boo's favorite sock?

I find this book to be great for children to learn a few skills and reading skills. Children can somewhat play hide and seek with trying to find Rambee Boo's favorite sock. Can you see it or your child or children? There is rhyming in this book as well. What adventure will Rambee Boo get into during this holiday season?

The pictures are enjoyable to look at and done well. Children will love following Rock and Rambee Boo as they search and look for the sock. There are holiday traditions shown throughout the book, along with getting the house decorated for Christmas. Will Rambee Boo find his favorite sock, or will he be sad. I wonder what Rambee Boo's next adventure will be? I can't wait to find out more and read more to see what's in store for Rambee Boo and his family.

I enjoyed the story of Colton and his first pocket dragon. Is your child or children into dragons or enjoy reading about dragons? This book starts with a little boy and how he feels his life is boring and nothing is exciting.

We get introduced to Colton. He finds an egg and wants to take care of it. How do you take care of an egg, but it is not a bird egg? What kind of egg is it? We meet a little dragon and his name is "Kolta." The adventures start once this little egg hatches.

Dragonland is where most of the adventure takes place once Kolta and Colton go to visit. Will we find Kolta's parents? Colton does not want to see Kolta leave and stay in Dragonland. But will Colton understand and know his friend will be back?

Children will learn about taking care of an egg and raising a dragon. Children will also learn about letting go and know that they need to live with their parents just as dragons need to live with their parents once Colton helps raise his new friend Kolta.

The pictures remain done well. They are bright. What will happen when Colton finds a new egg that is white with red spots? It seems Colton is starting to collect some pocket dragons. Colton and Kolta are in Dragonland, exploring and trying to find Kolta's parents. They run into different situations. Will Kolta help Colton out of some of the problems. What adventures will they get themselves into, and will Kolta's dad save Colton from the most dangerous dragon monster?
